Current Research 

Giovanni is currently researching the experiences of Black women in the US South working to combat the HIV epidemic. Along with the HER Initiative of Atlanta, she is completing a research project entitled Mama Said focusing on Mother Daughter Sexuality Education Communication in the African American Community. 

In partnership with BWHI- the Black Women's Health Imperative, she is currently lead author of LUNA:Unleashed, a comic book dedicated to educating Black women and girls on strategies of HIV prevention and reproductive justice.
